Super Eagles right back, Shehu Abdullahi has revealed that he is getting better and his return to full fitness is going as planned after picking up an injury in the first match of the AFCON against Burundi.
It would be recalled that Chidozie Awaziem was the player who replaced Shehu, after cropping an injury in the first half of Saturday’s encounter.
Speaking to www.brila.net as he continues to recover, although remains a huge doubt for today’s second group match against the Syli Nationale of Guinea, Shehu says he is wishing his teammates the best while thanking Nigerians for their love, prayers, and support to him and the rest of the team.
“Am getting better and everything is under control. The good thing was that we got the three points against Burundi and am wishing the team good luck ahead of their second today”.
“The good thing in this team is that everyone wants to play, everybody can play and they all want to play, and they are ready to play”.
“I also thank Nigerians for their love, wishes and prayers, I really appreciate their support, thank you very much”.
