Heartland FC boss Fidelis Ilechukwu has stated that he is thrilled with the expected return of the top-flight Football league in Nigeria after 9 months out of work following the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic and series of postponements which has plagued the commencement of the new league season.
Ilechukwu told Brila.net that he has missed the game that has become an integral part of his life and will be ready to return notwithstanding the lure of the festive season but emphasized been worried about the increasing wave of the second phase of the Covid-19 pandemic which has already disrupted league Football in Nigeria for so long.
“We have been at home for close to 9 months, to me there is nothing that can compare bringing Football even if it’s new year day because Football is my life.
“So most important thing I’m praying that the second phase of Corona virus will not affects the league. But to me bringing the league now is one of the best things that will happen to us.”
