Ikhana Quits Pillars, Cites Health Concerns

The Kano Pillars Football Club board have accepted the resignation of Kadiri Ikhana, who steps down as Technical Adviser.

In a Press release, the club revealed that they got the information of Ikhana’s resignation through a press interview he granted the media late Sunday night.
The release stated that, ” Kadiri was not in Enugu for the rescheduled Matchday 9 NPFL fixture against league champions Rangers FC, but, after the game he (Ikhana ) communicated with some journalist and club officials from his base in Abeokuta to announce his resignation as technical adviser of Sai Masu Gida from today Sunday 23/4/2017.”

” The management of Kano Pillars FC accepted his resignation in good fate and wish him full recovery from the  sickness which he said was the reason he quit his job.”
Media Officer of the Pillars, Malikawa Idris Rilwanu assured that the relationship between the club and Ikhana will be sustained.
On the issue of the possible replacement, Malikawa said a new handler will be named within a week.
The media officer further disclosed the players have been given a five-day mid-season break.
He urged the fans of the club to be patient with the board as it was doing everything humanly possible to see that  the club status is revived in the second stanza.
