Super Falcons international and Edo Queens striker, Folashade Ijamilusi, is staying focused on her goals despite a recent setback.
Missing the France International friendly match remains a painful experience for the player, but she is determined to keep pushing forward.
Speaking on her performance during the CAF competition, where she had set her sights on becoming the highest scorer, Ijamilusi shared her disappointment but reiterated her commitment to continual improvement.
“I’m working towards it. As you can see, I missed the France match, which is so painful for me, but I know more is coming to me and I’m really trying my best,” Ijamilusi said.
The striker also acknowledged that her ambitions for last season were not fully realized.
“Last season, personally, I knew I promised to be the highest scorer in the CAF competition but unfortunately, it didn’t come about.”
“I will not relent. I will continue to train. I will continue to hope and also next season, I’m sure, and by the time, I will score and come out as the highest goal scorer again,” she affirmed.
With her unwavering commitment, Ijamilusi remains determined to bounce back stronger into the Super Falcons camp and achieve her long-term aspirations.
