Kelechi Ihenacho struck again for Leicester City in the FA Cup, but this time, it wasn’t enough to save the Foxes.
Leicester City sufferer a 2-1 defeat and were knocked out of the FA Cup by Championship side Blackburn Rovers.
The PL side hosted Balckburn Rovers at the King Power Stadium, hoping to continue the Cup adventure after their resurgent league form was hit following back to back defeats against Manchester United and Arsenal.
Brendan Rodgers’ side however failed to impose themselves in the game as Tyrhys Dolan and Sammie Szmodics struck for the Championship outfit in either half, rendering Kelechi Iheanacho’s second-half strike a mere consolation.
Blackburn, who have won the FA Cup six times, but not since 1928 celebrated wildly at the full-time whistle, as they reached their first quarter-final in eight years.
The Foxes will return to the PL this weekend where they’re scheduled to face Southampton, before welcoming Chelsea to the King Power Stadium seven days later.
