Shanghai Shenhua have been crowned 2019 FA Cup winners after a 3-0 second-leg win over Shandong Luneng to overturn a 1-0 first-leg deficit; a result which also sees Odion Ighalo win his first silverware at club level.
Ighalo whose professional career started in 2005, joined the Shanghai Shenhua at the end of last season from Changchun Yatai.
He was a second half (67′) substitute for goal scorer Kim Shin-Wook (60′).
Kim’s goal leveled the tie on aggregate before goals from Stephan El Shaarawy and Gabon’s Alexander N’Doumbou turned it round in favor of The Flower of Shanghai.
The Cup victory means the club have qualified for the AFC Champions League.
