Ighalo slam critics over Super Eagles return

Odion Ighalo says he is unbothered by the criticisms he has received over his decision to come out of International retirement.

Ighalo came out of retirement to play a part in Super Eagles’ FIFA World Cup qualifying match against Cape Verde on Tuesday.

His decision to honor the invitation had some reports suggested that the Al-Shabab forward’s presence could halt the development of some young attackers in the team.

Speaking on the reactions surrounding his return, the former Manchester United man said he is only thinking about helping the team and not paying attention to what his critics are saying.

“Importantly, I’m glad to be back to give my supports to the team.

“I heard a lot of people saying stuff about me, like a guy in UK saying all sort, but I like told you don’t care about and I don’t even know them.”

“I only care about how, I will support the team and the coach knows why he want me around, so which ever way he needs my support, I will give it 101 percent. ”

“Even if it’s from the bench, stands or on the pitch, I will give my best for the team.

“All I care about is the team and not what these guys are saying.” He said.
