Odion Ighalo is living his dream after becoming the first Nigerian to score at the FIFA World Club Cup on Sunday.
Ighalo netted one of the goals as Al Hilal secure a place in the semi-final of the FIFA Club World Cup with a 6-1 thumping of Al Jazira.
Ighalo scored the equaliser for his new Club and he played 75 minutes of the encounter at the Mohammed Bin Zayed Stadium.
“We believe we were much the better team, so after we went 1-0 down, we started pressing, acting as a team,” the 32-year-old told FIFA website after the game.
“Everyone started getting into the game. We scored one, we scored another and we got the result we wanted.” He concluded.
Next for Al Hilal is a mouthwatering semi-final showdown with Europeans champions Chelsea on Wednesday.
Playing against Chelsea is not a new thing to Ighalo as he played them several times during his Watford days.
