Saudi Arabia Pro League side Al Hilal has announced the exit of Odion Ighalo from the club.
The club, on Thursday, confirmed the Nigerian international will leave the club at the end of current season.
“Thanks Odion Ighalo, Wishing you good luck and success”, the club wrote on their social media handle.
According to reports, Al Hilal let the Nigerian leave, in order to free up space for Argentina Super star, Leo Messi, who will become a free agent next month.
Ighalo enjoyed a successful spell with the team, notching 43 goals and 7 assists in 59 games since arriving the club last year.
He has scored against everything team in the pro League since moving to Saudi Arabia, except Al Raed, but he could do when both teams face off for the last game on the campaign this weekend.
Ighalo helped the club win the Saudi Arabia Pro League title last season and playing a key role in their King’s Cup and Super Cup victories.
