Odion Ighalo says having his mother watch him play for the first time in 16 years is one of the happiest moments of his career.
Ighalo’s mother and his elder sister watched from the stands as he scored and assisted another in Al Shabab 5-1 massacre of Al Ain on Wednesday.
Ighalo grabbed the third goal for Al Shabab third goal of the match and ran towards his mother to celebrate with her.
After the game, Ighalo revealed via his social media handle that having his mother in the stadium for the first time in his career, is one of his happiest moments in life.
“For The First Time Since 16 years Of My Professional Career, Mama Was Able To Watch Me Play Live In The Stadium , One Of The Happiest Day Of My Life” he wrote on Twitter.
Recall that Ighalo moved to Al Shabab after the expiration of his contract with English Premier league giants Manchester United.
He has now scored seven goals for the club in the Saudi Arabian Premier League since arriving from Manchester United.
