Arsenal legend Paul Merson believed it will hard for Manchester United to let Odion Ighalo return to Shanghai Shenhua after his impressive form.
Merson was speaking with popular sport channel Skysports and explained that the Nigeria forward merited a permanent deal.
Ighalo has hit the ground running since joining his the club he supported and has notched four goals in his last three starts for the Club.
Merson says the former Watford has put himself in a good position to land a permanent deal after his loan spell, however the Premier league legend believed Ighalo could find it difficult to sustain his level.
“You’ve only got to look at his time at Watford. He looked a world-beater but then next minute he couldn’t score a goal for toffee. But if you are going on the form he’s showed since coming to the club in January it’s going to be hard to get rid of him.“Merson said
