Super Falcons midfielder Osarenoma Igbinovia has stated that the Nigeria women national team players remain focussed despite the latest development in the team as regards the position of the head coach in the team.
Igbinovia speaking in a chat with www.brila.net said the players are simply concerned about the game and how to navigate their way past the Ivorian hurdle after having missed out of qualification for the last two editions of the women’s football event at the Olympics stating clearly how much of a work they need to do to achieve qualification.
“We just have to focus, yes it’s been long that we went to the Olympics even the last time we lost to Equatorial Guinea, so we don’t need anything else now we just have to qualify for the Olympics. So we just need to prepare for the game. The tasks ahead is very tough. Ivory Coast is a very good team.”
Nigeria will play away first on the 30th of September before the second leg a week after that.
