Nigeria Wrestling Federation President, Daniel Igali is confident the sport will deliver at the 2018 Commonwealth Games after Nigeria finished with 1 Gold, 2 silver and a bronze at the Commonwealth wrestling championship in South Africa.
Nigeria participated with a small contingent due to paucity of funds; and Igali had once referred to them as the “Orphans of Nigerian Sport”.
The orphans of Nigerian sports Blessing Oborududu 68kg, kemeasuodei Dressman 76kg, Aminat Adeniyi 62kg and Gofit Winnie (all African champions) weighed in at the Commonwealth Wrestling Championships in Brakpan, South Africa tonight. Wrestling starts at 10am tomorrow. pic.twitter.com/TE3ibySRvZ

Igali believes the achievement of the Wrestlers in South Africa is an indication of how well the Federation can at the Games in Australia.
