Ifeanyi Udeze question Eguaveon’s substitutions against Ghana

Former Super Eagles left-back Ifeanyi Udeze said Austin Eguavoen should have played Akinkunmi Amoo against the Black Stars of Ghana.

The Super Eagles played a draw with Ghana in the second leg of the final phase of the qualifiers and missed out on the tickets to the FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

Reacting to the disappointing 1-1 draw against the Black Stars at the MKO Abiola International Stadium in Abuja on Tuesday, the former Super Eagles defender said the team lacked creativity and Amoo should have been introduced to the game.

“They invited Akinkunmi Amoo, yes he’s a young player, but if I were the coach, I would have taken the risk and played him in the last 15 or 20 minutes.”

“The team lacks creativity from the middle and they allowed the Ghanaians to do whatever they want with the ball”,

“In my opinion, we gave away the match,” He said on his breakfast program ” No Hold Barred” on Brila FM.
