“If We Bring Our Club Form, We Will Get the Job Done Against Libya” – Iwobi

Super Eagles midfielder, Alex Iwobi has expressed confidence that the team can secure victory against Libya if they replicate their club form.

The three-time African champions will face Libya in Uyo on Friday, in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

The Super Eagles currently sit atop their group with four points from two games and aim to extend their lead against a struggling Libya side, who are bottom of the group.

In an exclusive interview with Brila Media, the Fulham midfielder reassured Nigerian fans that the team is fully prepared and ready to give their all.

“Nigerians should expect that we are going to give our 100 percent,” Iwobi said.

“Everyone is doing well for their clubs, so if we bring that same form from our clubs to the national team, we should get the result that we want.”

The Super Eagles will look to take advantage of their home support before heading to Libya for the reverse fixture on October 15.

Nigeria has a perfect record against Libya, having won all four previous encounters.

The last time the two sides met was in 2018 during the AFCON qualifiers, where Nigeria won in a thrilling 3-2 victory.
