New arrival at Malaga of Spain, Brown Ideye has promised to put in his very best with the club, in order to help the side gain momentum in La Liga and go on the have a splendid season.

Though Ideye admits Malaga are not among Spain’s highly-rated clubs, he is sure of helping the side make an impact with goals and declared emphatically that he is happy to make the switch.

Ideye was speaking after the confirmation of his arrival on loan from Tianjin Teda of China, which the widely travelled star admitted marks the beginning of a fresh challenge for him.

Other clubs from China, Germany, England and Italy had sought for his signature this winter, but the lanky star said he wanted a club that will provide him the playing time he needs and meet his financial demands.

Ideye expressed his delight with the six-month loan deal to Malaga, as he aims to fight for a place in Gernot Rohr’s 23-man Super Eagles’ squad to Russia 2018.

The former West Bromwich Albion forward said he will put behind him miseries he suffered while at Teda, where issues between his management and the club left him relegated to the youth team.

Ideye said he is excited about his move to Spain and stressed that he is ready to give his best in the best league in the World.

“I am very happy about this move. I am ready to give Malaga CF all my best and I hope my hard work will count,” Ideye said.
