Ideye denies accepting Galatasaray offer

Super Eagles forward Brown Ideye said he’s committed to his club Greek Club Aris Thessaloniki after recent rumors linking him with a move away from the Club.

The 2013 African cup of Nations winner previously squashed the reports that linked him with a move to Turkish Super Lig side Galatasaray, however, another report claimed his agent has accepted a proposal from an unnamed team.

Ideye who joined the Greek side last summer after ending his bad spell with Chinese Super league Side Tianjin Teda, and has found the back of net nine times in 30 appearances this season.

The 31-year-old told the club’s official website that’s he’s committed to the club and debunked the reports that said he has accepted a proposal from one of his suitors.

“I want to make it clear: Neither I nor my manager has accepted a proposal from another team. At the moment I am 100% focused on ARIS and the big goal we have to win the Cup. We will do everything for that and when the playoffs and the Cup are over then I will decide on my future. And first I will talk to Aris. ” he said

Ideye concluded that he’s only thinking about helping Aris Thessaloniki finished the season on a good note, before deciding his future.

Meanwhile, the Greek Super league has been scheduled to restart June 6 and Ideye who has scored nine goals for the club will be hoping to add to his tally in the Super 6.
