Leicester City’s manager Brendan Rodgers is frustrated with the Club’s inability to keep Nigerian forward Ademola Lookman at the club.
Lookman spent the entire last season on loan with the Foxes and was an instant hit at the Club.
The Foxes, however, failed to reach an agreement with his then parent Club, RB Leipzig, over a transfer, paving way for Atalanta to sign the player in a €15m deal.
According to Leicestershire Live, Rodgers expressed his frustration for missing out on the winger.
“I would have loved to have signed Ademola who was great here last season and got over 10 goals and assists but we weren’t able to do that.”
Asked if the club will now turn to a New target, especially with Harvey Barnes out with injury for several months, Rodgers said.
“At this moment in time, I would say no. That was the frustration for us, that with Barnesy out, we didn’t have a direct replacement.”
The Foxes began their Premier League campaign with a 2-2 draw against Brentford at the King Power Stadium on Sunday.
