I will miss Changchun Yatai, says Odion IGHALO

As he gets set to make his debut for new side Shanghai Shenhua in the CSL this season on the 1st of next month, Eagles striker Odion Ighalo has revealed that he will surely miss former club Changchun Yatai.
In a chat with www.brila.net, Ighalo revealed that he will miss the club who took care of him since he moved to China while hoping to play them next season when they gain promotion to the top flight after they were relegated last season despite his goals for the club.
“I will miss everyone in Yatai, the people, my teammates, the city, almost everything”.
“When I moved to China, they took good care of me and helped me improve so I will miss them”.
“It’s a pity they are playing in the second division now but I hope they gain promotion so I can play against them next season, ” he concluded.
The Nigerian forward had a stellar year in the Chinese top flight, but his heroics weren’t enough to save his team from avoiding the drop.
While Odion Ighalo has regularly had his doubters in Nigeria, even after his recent improved form with the Super Eagles, there are no such doubts in China, where he plies his club football.
Last season, he banged in 21 goals in 28 games to finish as the second highest goalscorer just behind Lei Wu of Shanghai SIPG and will be looking to surpass that this time around for Shenhua.
