Peterside Idah is counting his loses after failing in his bid to succeed Amaju Pinnick as the President of Nigeria Football Federation.
Idah lost to Ibrahim Gusau in the NFF Presidential race, after a rerun.
The former Super Eagles goalkeeper polled a single vote, to Gusau’s 39.
Reacting to the loss, Idah stated that he came to prove a point, adding that he understands the game of politics to the highest level.
He also Congratulated the new NFF President, Gusau for his landslide victory.
“Congratulations to Ibrahim Gusau. The truth is that I understand politics. People make promises with hope,” Idah said.
“I came from outside to prove a point. I will be back next four years.
“The election cost me 15-20 million Naira. We won’t stop until when we expand the Congress and it will be a level playing ground.
“The process today (Friday) wasn’t bad. My life goes on. I have work to do at SuperSport. I am also a Pastor.”
“I will also be ready to offer my support to Gusau if he deems me worthy of such.”
