Halimotu Ayinde reveals she was carrying an injury while playing for the Super Falcons at the Women’s World Cup.

Ayinde who is disappointed with the manner of their exit from the tournament, says she’s proud of their journey and expressed gratitude to the fans for their support.

“Still struggling coming to terms with the fact that our promising Women’s World Cup outing had come to an unexpected end.

“Amidst my reoccurring pains from injury, I still feel proud of this team and the incredible memories created Down Under. The future is bright! Thanks for the support,” She said.

Halimotu Ayinde played significant role as the Super Falcons had a tournament to remember in Australia.

After superb Group phase campaign, Nigeria’s Super Falcons eventually lost out in the round of 16 to England’s Lioness.
