Victor Osimhen is aiming to play at his first senior FIFA World Cup with the Super Eagles, after missing out on the 2018 edition.
Osimhen struggled with injuries and was left of the of the 2018 finals in Russia—where the Super Eagles failed to advance to the round of 16.
However, The 23-year-old has recovered from the set back and now become a key member of the squad.
In a chat with CAF official website, the Napoli forward revealed, his desire to lead Nigeria a seventh World Cup by beating Ghana in the final play off tie.
“At the last FIFA World Cup, Russia 2018, I was in the hospital, supporting the Super Eagles,” Osimhen told CAFOnline.com.
“I have always been a fan of the Super Eagles, having an opportunity to be here, we have one more hurdle. I am looking forward to the game as well as getting the World Cup ticket.” He concluded.
Osimhen has scored 10 goals in 18 games for the Super Eagles of Nigeria.
