Striker Mfon Udoh said that his exit from Enyimba represented a “bad phase of his career.
Udoh, 31, spent five seasons at Enyimba but left the club on acrimonious grounds after falling out with club’s hierarchy.
Speaking about his time at the Club, the former Enyimba captain revealed he was badly treated by the club’s management.
“I was in bondage at Enyimba,” the forward said on The Abu Azeez Pod.
“They owed me salaries for several months and when a better offer came for me in Tunisia that I would have earned $30,000 dollars per month, Enyimba refused to let me go, claiming the transfer fee was too small yet they were paying me penny.
“They frustrated me till I wasn’t happy anymore at the club which affected my performance on the pitch.”
Mfon Udoh joined Enyimba in 2013, making 76 appearances and scored 54 goals.
