Ahmed Musa has set his sights on scoring more goals for Kano Pillars following an impressive start to his third stint with the club.
The 31-year-old forward was the standout performer as the four-time NPFL champions secured a 2-0 victory over Sunshine Stars at the Muhammadu Dikko Stadium, on Sunday.
Musa opened the scoring just five minutes into the match and doubled his tally early in the second half with a goal in the 51st minute.
The former Super Eagles captain later won a penalty in the 71st minute but failed to convert it.
Expressing his delight after the game, Musa took to social media platform X to thank the club and fans, stating that his return feels like home.
“Back in familiar colors, and it feels so good! Grateful to the entire backroom staff, my teammates, management of Kano Pillars FC for believing in me and giving me this opportunity to return,” he wrote.
Musa promised to deliver more goals, adding, “Scoring two goals and earning that penalty was just the start – we’ve got a lot more coming!”
Kano Pillars will be counting on Musa’s experience as they push for success in the NPFL this season.
