In April 2019, Serena Williams launched her own venture capital firm, Serena Ventures and has also invested in different startups with plans to launch a jewelry line and a fashion brand. Serena said “I want to be in the infrastructure. I want to be the brand, instead of just being the face.”
Serena who is married to business mogul, Alexis Ohanian believes her husband is a big influence in her venture into startups “I’ve been really leaning on Alexis (husband), I’d like to call us a more modern business family,” the tennis star said.
