Fulham manager, Marco Silva has urged Nigerian winger, Samuel Chukwueze to show greater consistency and adaptation as the club prepares for its Premier League trip to North London to face Tottenham Hotspur.
Speaking during his pre-match press conference on Friday, 28 November, Silva praised the 25-year-old’s talent but admitted he remains “not fully convinced” due to the player’s limited availability since joining the team.
Silva highlighted that Chukwueze’s frequent absences, mostly due to fitness issues, have prevented him from settling properly and showing his full impact.
“If you look in three months, how many times he was out of this club was too long for a new player,” Silva said, as reported by Jack Kelly.
“I have the privilege to see him in the sessions, doing the type of things that he adds differently for us. Creativity, last pass, last definition. I am pleased with him, but I have to see more.”
“It is not his fault that I have to see more. I think all the context did not give us the chance to see more.”
“I need to see more in sessions and more time in games to see the adaptation for the intensity, for the aggressiveness in the right way that the Premier League demands from players.”
“He is a very good player. I knew before. That he has the talent, I knew before.”
Samuel Chukwueze Showing Signs of Progress
Chukwueze delivered his most convincing display yet in Fulham colors in their last Premier League outing against Sunderland, where he was named Man of the Match.
The winger provided an assist and was influential throughout the game, showing flashes of the creativity that made him a marquee summer signing.

Before that performance, the former Villarreal star had struggled to find rhythm, recording just two assists in six appearances in all competitions, all of them coming from the bench.
He is yet to start a game this season, with Silva largely preferring Kevin in the wide attacking role.
Fulham face a tough challenge against Tottenham Hotspur in North London, and Chukwueze will hope to be replicate his performance in the last match or better, as he continues his push for a bigger role in the team.
