Alex Iwobi is relieved after scoring the winner for Fulham against Manchester United at the Old Trafford on Saturday afternoon.
Iwobi emerged as the hero for Fulham, securing a decisive stoppage time goal in the 2-1 victory against Manchester United.
This triumph marked Fulham’s first win over Manchester United in 15 years, leaving the Nigerian elated.
“I’m over the moon right now, to win at Old Trafford in the last minute is crazy, there’s no better feeling,” he told the club’s official website.
“We feel like we performed really well, we’ve been performing well recently, and today is a step in the right direction and hopefully, we can kick on from there.”
Alex Iwobi struck in the last minute of the added after receiving a pass from Adam Traore.
The midfielder cut inside before unleashing a low draw that left Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana rooted to a spot.
“As soon as I cut inside, I felt like the keeper was going to be in the far corner, so I gave him the eyes and it went in.
“I haven’t seen his reaction, but everyone said he couldn’t move, so a goal is a goal, I’ll take it and move on to the next,” he added.
