Hugo Broos Rules Kekena Out of Super Eagles Game, Mudau Still A Doubt

Ahead of the crucial game against Nigeria, head coach of South Africa Hugo Broos has been hit with a major injury blow.

Bafana Bafana will trade tackles with bitter rivals, Super Eagles of Nigeria, in the FIFA World Cup qualifier on Friday.

However, the Bafana Bafana camp has been hit by another injury, with Grant Kekana already ruled out.

Khuliso Mudau will also undergo a late test to see if he’ll be available for the important clash.

Speaking ahead of the game, Broos says:

”These are two important games therefore we decided to free him and let him (Kekana) go and we have replaced him with Given Msinmango from Kaizer Chief.

“Second problem, well there is no problem, khuliso Mudau so everybody knows what happens in the final on Saturday.

“After the medical check-up yesterday evening, the Doctor gave me the gut and also the player that it’s not that bad and he will be ready, he also trained this morning.

South Africa lost their previous game to Rwanda and must avoid defeat against Nigeria to remain on track for the 2026 FIFA World cup.
