How Dream Team Thrash Sudan 5-0 To Pick AFCON Ticket In Asaba

Nigeria national U-23 team Dream Team VII thrashed Sudan 5-0 at the Stephen Keshi Stadium in Asaba on Tuesday to pick 2019 African Cup of Nations ticket.

The Imama Amakapabo tutored side recorded the comprehensive victory in front of their home crowd, after losing the first 1-0 in Obduman last Thursday.

Belgian base Striker Taiwo Awoniyi opened the scoring for the Eagles in the 8th minutes, before Effiong Ndifreke added the second and third in the 27th minutes and 44th respectively to give the team half time lead.

Substitute Sunday Faleye added the fourth six minutes after an hour mark, before turning the provider for Nasarawa United attacker Ibrahim Sunusi to score the fifth.

The victory, however, sent the Nigerian side to the tournament proper in Egypt, where they will compete for Tokyo 2020 Olympic ticket.
