“He’s Ready for Super Eagles- Utaka Supports Akor Adams’ Call-Up Hopes

Former international John Utaka has thrown his support behind Jerome Adams, predicting that the forward has the potential to become a regular fixture in the Super Eagles in the future.

Since joining French Ligue 1 side Montpellier, Adams has quickly established himself as a standout performer in the league.
In a recent interview, Adams credited Utaka, a Montpellier legend, for helping him adapt seamlessly to French football after transferring from Norwegian club Lillestrøm last year.
“John Utaka is a legend; his influence was part of my decision to come to Montpellier. For me, following in his footsteps, knowing that he laid the path for a young player,” Adams praised.
Since linking up with Montpellier last summer, Adams has been striving for a spot in the Super Eagles. However, with a lineup that includes Victor Osimhen, Taiwo Awoniyi, Victor Boniface, Terem Moffi, and Paul Onuachu, he faces stiff competition and will have to bide his time before earning an international call-up.
Speaking on No Holds Barred interview with Ifeanyi Udeze on Brila FM, Utaka expressed confidence in Adams’s potential.
“Adams is a potential Super Eagles striker. He’s a hard worker, has a good size for a striker, and has a great mindset.
I believe he will take his chance in the national team when he is handed one.”
Akor has this season been involved in 11
Montpellier’s games scored three goals and had one assist.
