‘He’s not getting younger’ – Pascal talks about Troost-Ekong’s Watford move

Ex-International and Super Eagles team coordinator PatrickĀ  Pascal has spoken about William Troost-Ekong’s move from Udinese, a top-flight Italian Serie A team to the second division in England with Watford FC.

In an exclusive chat, Pascal stated that the move may be prompted by several reasons best known to the player himself and should not be crucified for making the decision.
”Maybe it’s because of the good money offered him there, that’s his own decision, he has played all around and once you see a good money offer, you know you are not growing younger again then, you need to go for the money and that will help you in life,” he told brila.net.

The 27-year-old center-half signed a five-year contract with the Hornets and becomes the latest new addition to Vladimir Ivićā€™s squad.

Troost-Ekong has spent the past two years in Italy with Udinese, playing 66 times for the Serie A side since his arrival from Turkish SĆ¼per Lig outfit Bursaspor in 2018.

Born in the Netherlands, he began his senior career in the Eredivisie with Groningen and Dordrecht before spells in Belgium and Norway, with Gent and Haugesund respectively.
