Henry Onyekuru may have missed out on the Ebony shoe award this season in Belgium, but the 19-year-old is showing to the world he’s not lost his confidence in front of goal, after he netted a brace for Eupen in their dramatic 3-2 win against Kortrijk on Saturday.
The player, who is constantly linked with potential move from Belgium to the Premier League, was in the running for the award.
Delighted with his nomination, he had hoped to join the likes of Daniel Amokachi,Victor Ikpeba,Godwin Okpara and Celestine Babayaro who were recipients of the gong.
But it’ll matter little to him now as his goals in minutes 38 and 80 took his league tally to 20 and 22 in all competitions.
Eupen will likely miss out on the Europa League ticket, but the 19-year-old will not look back now as he leads the scorers chart in the Europa League group with 8 goals.

It is almost certain Onyekuru will leave K.A.S Eupen at the end of the season; one year after he joined from the Aspire Academy.
But the player is not as keen to disclose where his prime lure lurks.
