55 years ago one of Nigeria’s most iconic footballers was born and posthumously we celebrate Samuel Okwaraji.
Okwaraji played for the Super Eagles in a short lived career, that ended tragically when he collapsed during a World Cup qualifier inside the National Stadium in Lagos.
He was later pronounced dead, from an apparent heart failure.
Okwaraji earned 8 caps for Nigeria and scored a goal, he was 25 year-old.
