Having beaten Lagos Seasiders 38-27 in their opening game of the Handball League, Kano Pillars handball team coach, Solomon Yola has attributed the good start to the great preparation they had.
Speaking with brila.net, Yola stated that his side had the full support of the Kano State government and keen interest has been shown on the progress of the team.
“Preparation was good and we trained hard. We are well supported by the government, well funded. It is just left for us to do our job which we have started. The Kano state sports commission chairman is very interested in the team just like every other team in the commission so we are not under pressure.”
Kano Pillars handball team flagged off their 2019 league campaign with a robust win over Lagos based Seasiders in the Abuja Phase of the handball league.
