Scribe of the Handball Federation of Nigeria Haruna Maigidansanma has stated that the postponements of the National Sports Festival following Monday’s announcements by the Honourable Minister of Youths and Sports wouldn’t have any notable effect on the Handball Federation.
Maigidansanma speaking in a chat with brila.net said just after the Festival is a tournament organized to put the handball players in shape ahead of the Africa youths Championships in Morocco and as such the postponements of the Festival only mean camping continue for players ahead of next month’s African tourney.
“When the ministry wants to do something every Federation has to tarry a bit before we can jump into doing anything. But so far as Handball is concerned the changes in date have not affected us as such.”
