Victor Osimhen scored his 11th goal of the season to help Napoli secure a 1-1 away draw against Cagliari on Monday.
Napoli manager Luciano Spalleti left the Nigerian out of his starting 11, due to injury, but was introduced to the game in the second half.
Osimhen replaced Andreas Petagna, shortly after Gastón Rodrigo Pereiro López put the hosts ahead in the 58th minute. The Uruguayan beat David Ospina with a cheap curler from the edge of the penalty area.
However, Osimhen spared the blushes of the Columbian goalkeeper by snatching a late point for the Partenopei. Osimhen headed a fine cross from Mario Ruiz in the 87th minutes.
A win against Cagliari would have taken Osimhen and his teammates to the top of the table with Milan, but with the draw, they remain third, tied on points with Inter instead.
