Super Eagles and Shanghai Shenhua of China striker, Odion Jude Ighalo has stated that he and the rest of the team are set for the match against Guinea tomorrow in the second match of the Egypt 2019 AFCON in Alexandria.
Ighalo came off the bench to score the goal that gave former champions Nigeria a 1-0 victory over stubborn minnows Burundi on Saturday in the opening Africa Cup of Nations Group B match.
The former Watford had been on the pitch only four minutes in Egyptian Mediterranean city Alexandria when he struck the 77th-minute winner.
Speaking ahead of the match tomorrow to www.brila.net, the former Udinese and Granada striker added that the Syli Nationale of Guinea would be tougher opposition than Burundi, but says the team have been preparing and are looking forward to an, even more, stiffer opposition.
“Well the same way we fought hard against Burundi, that’s the same way we will fight against Guinea. Guinea is going to be a tough game, even tougher than Burundi game because Guinea are a more better team”.
“They have good players, they keep possession of the ball, they have good strikers and fast wingers too do it’s going to be a tough game, but we have been working hard in the past few days and hopefully by God’s grace, we will come out with victory again”.
