The Golden Eaglets kicked off their campaign in the WAFU B U17 Championship with a goalless draw against Burkina Faso.

A sluggish start from the Eaglets saw the Burkinabe Stallions pose the greater threat in the first half.

Despite a heavy downpour, played improved and the Nigerian team stepped up their performance in the second half but the opponents held on.

Their next match is scheduled for May 19, against the Niger Republic.
