Gift Orban Nominated for CAF Young Player Award

Nigerian forward, Gift Orban has been nominated for the CAF Young Player of the Year award.

The nominees for the award was made by public by CAF on their official X handle this past Wednesday.

Orban, has impress since he joined Belgian Pro League club KAA Gent from Norwegian side Staebek in January.

The 21-year-old has scored 27 goals in various competitions for the Buffalos this year.

He faces stiff competitions from Senegal’s Amara Diouf and Pape Diop, along with Burkina Faso’s Dango Ouatarra.

The last Nigerian to secure this honor was Victor Osimhen. The award ceremony is scheduled to occur in December.
