Gift Orban, Jordan Torunarigha guide Gent into Conference League group stage

Gift Orban was in action for KAA Ghent in the UEFA Europa Conference League second leg playoff against APOEL Nicosia on Thursday.

Orban however wasn’t among the goalscorers, and was substitutedafter 62 minutes.

Gent however managed to see off their hosts 2-1 and advance tonext round 4-1 on aggregate score, following 2-1 first leg win.

Gent got their noses in front in the 23rd minute, courtesy a fine finish from Belgian star Matisse Samoise.

Morocco’s Tarik Tissoudali who replaced Orban then made it 2-0few minutes after his introduction, only for  Davy Roef’s late owngoal gave the home fans something to cheer.

Meanwhile Jordan Torunarigha also featured for Gent. The German-born Nigerian last for 82 minutes before being replaced by Núrio Fortuna.
