Nigerian duo Gift Monday and Rinsola Babajide were in top form as UDG Tenerife secured a resounding 4-1 victory over Sevilla in a Liga F match, on Saturday.
Monday was the star of the show, scoring twice in the first half to lead the charge for UDG Tenerife.
She grabbed her first in the 22nd minute and added another in the 40th, while Babajide scored a screamer with what could be a contender for the goal of the season.
The forward unleashed a stunning strike from distance in the 28th minute, doubling Tenerife’s lead with a sensational effort.
Sevilla’s Nazareth Martín managed a consolation goal in the 61st minute, but it was too late to change the result of the game.
With this impressive win, UDG Tenerife has climbed to third place in the table, just one point behind league leaders Barcelona.
