Ghanaian footballer Solomon Nyantakyi has confessed to the double murder of his mother and sister after he was arrested by the police in Italy on Wednesday morning.
The former Parma midfielder fatally stabbed his mother Patience Nfum, 45, and little sister Magdalene Nyantakyi, 11 on Tuesday afternoon in the family home in Via San Leonardo in the city of Parma.
Solomon was stopped in the Central Station in Milan by the Police as he stepped off the train from Parma.
After hours of questioning by the Police, the footballer gave in and admitted to the crime. Now the prosecutor is preparing a case of double homicide against the 21-year-old.
According to reports in Italy, Nyantakyi carried out the dastardly act in the house where the whole family – the mother, father, two sons and daughter – live.
The father was in London on official duties when the footballer committed the gruesome murders.
His 25-year-old brother, Raymond discover the two bodies when he returned home after work.
Solomon played for Serie D side Imolese Calcio last season but suddenly stopped and joined a gang noted for committing serious crimes in Italy per ghanasoccernet.
