Nigeria beat Ghana 2-1 on Wednesday night at the Stade de Kegue, to successfully defend the WAFU B U20 Champions title.
Arierhi Kparobo scored both goals to shoot Nigeria into the lead before Ghana halved the deficit as the game wore on.
However, the Black Satellites could not find the equalizer and Aliyu Zubairu’s Flying Eagles held on to confirm their supremacy in the competition.
While both teams had already booked their places in next year’s Africa U20 Cup of Nations, the WAFU B U20 Championship finale was about bragging rights.
Nigeria who started their campaign in Togo with a shock 1-0 defeat to Burkina Faso did not lose another game through till their title triumph.
