Gent boss Hein Vanhaezebrouck coy on Gift Orban’s future

Scouts from big European clubs, including Lille were at the Jan Breydel Stadium to watch Gift Orban play for KAA Gent against Cercle Brugge on Sunday.

Orban stole the show once again as he scored a superb second half hat-trick to guide his side to a 4-0 win on the road.

The performance further explains why scout are trooping into Belgium to watch the 20 year-old.

Orban has nineteen goals for the Buffalos, in what could be his first and only season at the club.

Gent’s boss Hein Vanhaezebrouck however refused to speak on rumored €35m potential record move for the forward.

“We are not going to talk about that (transfer) at the moment,” Vanhaezebrouck said. “The club will decide.”

Gent technical director, Michel Louwagie once said the club will not consider selling Gift Orban this summer, but it remains to be seen if things will stay that way when the transfer window opens this summer.
