Paul Onuachu remains a transfer target for Belgian Jupiler league giants KRC Genk, despite a few days left on the window.
Although the financial side of the deal is still a challenge for KRC Genk who desperately need a new striker.
Onuachu has not been training with Southampton for a week, in a bid to force a move back to the Limburgers, less than a year after joining Southampton.
The situation is complicated as Southampton is aiming for a permanent sale rather than a loan.
Genk’s Coach Wouter Vrancken has been using Yira Sor and Tolu Arokodare as center forwards recently, but neither has managed to make a strong impression.
Vrancken is also considered to sign Anastasios Douvikas, but he chose to join Celta de Vigo due to the high transfer fee.
