Gambia to make history with AFCON 2019 – Marreh

Gambia International, Sulayman Marreh has expressed his confidence in the new generation players of the Gambia National team to making history by qualifying for the 2019 edition of the African Cup of Nations.

The on-loan Real Valladolid of Spain defensive midfielder reiterated his optimism while speaking with brila.net’s Anthony Bekederemo on inside La Liga’.

“We are doing everything to make history by qualifying for the next AFCON edition”, Marreh told brila.net that the Gambian team now comprise of young and great players who will be ready to spring surprises ahead of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.

The 21-year-old midfielder who also operate easily as a centre back joined Real Valladolid at the beginning of the season on a season-long loan from an English side, Watford.

Sulleyman, however, is not a regular in the Segunda Division in Spain, but the Gambia International says he will keep on working hard to be selected for action.

The former Granada Marreh made his senior debut with the side on 15 March 2014, starting in a 0–0 draw against FC Cartagena; roughly a month later he netted his first goal abroad, scoring the first of a 6–1 home win over Écija Balompié.
