OSC Lille coach Christophe Galtier says Super Eagles forward Victor Osimhen is an important element in his team.
Osimhen scored his side’s solitary goal in their UEFA Champions League defeat to former Champions Chelsea on Wednesday.
Osimhen joined the French side as a replacement for Nicolas Pepe who departed for Arsenal in the summer and has hit the ground running instantly, scoring seven times in the domestic league and once in Europe.
Talking about the impact of the Nigerian has had on his side, Galtier said the 20-year- old is very important to this team’s success this season.
“We must not forget the collective work done around him. But obviously he is an important element. Osimhen is fast and solid above defenders, Galtier stated.”
The former Sporting Charleroi attacker will lead the line for Lille this weekend when they take on Nimes in the French Ligue 1.
