Sabastine’s signing becomes Galatasaray’s third Nigerian addition in recent months.
She joins international teammate Tosin Demehin, who plays in the women’s team, and African Footballer of the Year Victor Osimhen, who has made his mark in the men’s team with eight goal involvements in his first seven games across all competitions.
The young Nigerian striker’s journey began at Unnich FA in Nigeria, leading to a successful spell with Bayelsa Queens, where she won three league titles.
She gained international attention with her performances at the 2022 and 2024 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cups, where she scored crucial goals for Nigeria.
Notably, she netted the winning goals in victories over France and South Korea and scored again in a 4-0 win against Venezuela.
Sabastine’s debut with the senior Super Falcons squad came in a 2022 friendly against Japan, where she replaced Uchenna Kanu in the closing minutes.
Now with Galatasaray, she aims to make her mark in Turkey, along side her compatriot, Demehin.
Galatasaray Women currently sits sixth on the table with twelve points, having played five games with two outstanding.
