Galatasaray interested in signing Cyriel Dessers

Turkish Super Lig champion Galatasaray is considering a summer move for Super Eagles’ new invitee Cyriel Dessers.

According to the Turkish news outlet, Yeni Asir, the Yellow Reds have identified the Heracles Almelo goal poacher as a possible replacement for Ryan Babel and Florin Andone whose loan deals will expire at the end of this season.

Dessers has two years left on his current deal with Heracles and it was reported the Lions would rather prefer to have him on loan.

The 25-year-old has been on the radar of a number of clubs in recent weeks following his brilliant debut season with Heracles.

The former Lokeren of Belgium forward netted 15 league goals to emerge the 2019/20 Eredivisie top scorer along with Feyenoord’s Steven Berghuis.

Dessers earned his first call-up to the Nigerian national team for the 2021 AFCON qualifying fixture against Serria Leone, but the match was later suspended due to the Covid-19 outbreak that has ravaged sporting activities globally.
