For too long the debate has been who will become the heir to the throne when both Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi finally hang their boots – We may have an answer already.
For a long while, many thought Messi’s former teammate Neymar was the heir apparent and under the wings – not shadow – of the Argentine he would get there.
However all of that changed in 2017 after Neymar forced a move to France, where he joined Paris Saint-German for a record €222million.
In hindsight, it was a move that has done more harm than good to any legitimate claim the Brazilian enjoyed prior and from Paris, in the same locker room would rise the new darling of the world.
A World Cup winner and multiple League title champion at age 20, Kylian Mbappe had almost certainly cemented his own legacy and his rising profile has ceaselessly continued to grow.
He rather than Neymar has become the toast of the Parisien club and much likely the world of football.
Endorsements for the Frenchman don’t come bigger than from Football greats like Pele and more recently, Cristiano Ronaldo.
Ronaldo described Mbappe in very glowing terms albeit in a TV commercial.
“Mbappe is the future and the present,” Ronaldo tells a youngster in the video. “He’s a fantastic player, very fast, and he will be the future.”
